The Client
This organization is America’s largest trade association, representing one million residential and commercial real estate agents, governing hundreds of local Multiple Listing Services (MLS’s), and delivering on-the-go access to an all-encompassing platform available exclusively to its members.
The Challenge
To further support its real estate agents, the client established the goal of launching a brand new product that would revolutionize MLSs by giving members access to real estate listings across the country.
Development would be a major undertaking due to the project’s finite resources, short time frame, and company-wide high profile. The client’s leadership held expectations that the project would be completed in the most efficient manner possible using precision development and project management. The client had previously brought Nimbold in to train their organization on the Agile software development methodology. They then decided to retain us to manage all three phases of the project.
Solution
We managed the timely and efficient completion of the project through all three tracks: Agile Training, Guidance and Mentoring, and Project Development.
Guidance and Mentoring
Nimbold shepherded resources through initial sprints, provided Guidance and Mentoring on how to properly execute the methodology, and participated in the project as a development team member to coach on planning, resource management, and interface with project stakeholders.
Agile Software Development Methodology
Nimbold implemented the Agile software development methodology to serve as the perfect accelerator for development efforts. We ensured the most efficient use of available resources to deliver the project on time despite a short time frame, and conducted a one-week on-site training session to provide instruction on the methodology, its benefits, its practical application, and how to apply those mechanics.
